Responding To The Proposal Of Commission VI Of The DPR RI Regarding The IUP Corruption Case, The President Director Of Tin Is Ready To Be Banned Abroad

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Timah (Persero) Tbk (TINS) Ahmad Dani Virsal opened his voice about the proposal of Member of Commission VI DPR RI from the PDI-P Faction, Rieke Diah Pitaloka regarding the demarcation rules for parties involved in the alleged corruption case of PT Timah which cost the state up to Rp271 trillion.

Rieke said that this demarcation was carried out so that the parties involved, including their families, did not have a gap to escape abroad.

"I support the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to issue a letter of demarcation for all those who are strongly indicated to be involved, including the directors. Because it is said that no directors are involved here. including the board of directors and including their families for temporary deviation at least," he said at the Hearing Meeting with the Board of Directors of PT Timah quoted Wednesday, April 3.

With such fantastic state losses, he continued, the perpetrators and involved parties could easily flee abroad.

"With that large ownership of money, people can disappear anywhere. It can also be facial surgery and so on," Rieke continued.

Responding to the proposal, Virsal, who was met by the media after the RDP, stated that he and the entire board of directors of PT Timah would comply with the appeal of law enforcers, including if later there were deviations abroad.

"We obey what the law enforcement urges us to do. We will follow what is the decision or become the APH work plan," said Virsal briefly.

Previously, regarding the company's internal losses, Virsal admitted that his party was still investigating what had happened over the past 5 years since 2018.

"We are also investigating into what exactly happened 5 years ago. We are currently investigating and investigating internally as well as from existing contracts and cooperation," concluded Virsal.
