Hutama Karya Ensures 5 Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Roads Can Operate Well During The 2024 Eid Long Holiday

PT Hutama Karya (Persero) ensures that five sections of the Sigli-Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) toll road can operate properly during the long Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijri holiday to facilitate homecoming traffic and return to Lebaran.

Head of the Sibanceh Hutama Karya (Persero) Toll Road, Totok Masyadi, in Aceh Besar, Tuesday, April 2, said that his party had alerted 222 toll officers, 27 service vehicles, five toll gates with 22 toll booths, and five top-up points at each toll gate.

"So, we have five toll gates operating, still as usual, there has been no additional new toll gates with a total length of 48.5 kilometers. Padang Tidji Toll Gate has not yet been completed construction," Totok said, quoted from Antara.

He explained that the Trans Sumatra toll road construction project for the Sigli - Banda Aceh section has a length of 74.2 kilometers which is divided into six sections. Section 2 (Seulimeum-Jantho) has a length of 6.35 kilometers, section 3 (Jantho - Indrapuri) is 16 kilometers long, and section 4 (Indrapuri - Blang Bintang) is 13.5 kilometers long.

Furthermore, section 5 (Blang Bintang - Kuta Baro) is 7.7 kilometers long and section 6 (Kuta Baro - Baitussalam) has a length of 5 kilometers. While section 1 (Seulimuem Padang Tidji) along 25 kilometers is still in the construction stage.

Currently, Totok continued, of the five Sibanceh Toll sections operating, only three sections are charged tariffs for each user, namely section 2, section 3 and section 4.

"For now, section 5 and section 6 are still free. Since it started on June 22, 2023 until now there has been no tariff decision letter, so it is still free for toll users," he said.

Hutama Karya predicts an increase in traffic flow by an average of 75 percent on Lebaran 2024 compared to normal days. Traffic on the Sibanceh Toll Road on normal days is 2,978 vehicles per day and during Eid it is estimated that it will reach 5,213 vehicles per day.

"With the possibility of peak homecoming on Friday, April 5, 2024, and backflow on Saturday, April 13, 2024, with the increase at its peak reaching 100 percent," he said,

Therefore, Totok also appealed to all toll road users to comply with applicable provisions and rules. Then to facilitate transactions at toll gates, drivers are reminded that an electronic money card can only be used by one vehicle, while ensuring the adequacy of the balance before entering the toll gate.
