Asking For 4 Ministers To Be Sent To The Constitutional Court, AMIN National Team: If They Are Not Present, He Will Lose Big
JAKARTA - A member of Anies-Muhaimin's legal team, Bambang Widjojanto, views that four ministers of President Joko Widodo should be present at the 2024 presidential election dispute trial if they are later invited by the Constitutional Court (MK).
Previously, the Anies-Imin camp asked the Constitutional Court to present four ministers to provide information, namely Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan, and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.
Bambang said that the Constitutional Court trial was a forum for ministers, especially Airlangga and Zulkifli Hasan, to defend themselves and to refute alleged violations of campaign provisions for Prabowo-Gibran.
"So he needs to defend himself. Defending himself is here. If he is not present, he will lose a big deal. So, then he will attend," Bambang told reporters at the Constitutional Court building, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 1.
Bambang said that currently the Constitutional Court is still presenting witnesses and experts submitted by the applicant, in this case candidate pair Anies-Muhaimin. Now, the Constitutional Court has not confirmed whether to present the ministers requested by the applicant. However, Bambang sees that there is still a chance for the Constitutional Court to present the minister in a separate trial schedule.
"Hopefully all of our examinations will be completed. It turns out that there is a schedule on the 5th, if I'm not mistaken, it will still be emptied," said Bambang.
"Or other witnesses that are needed by the Constitutional Court but have never been asked by the parties, but cannot be justified. It is possible there. We must have good prejudice," he continued.

Previously in the 2024 presidential election dispute trial on Thursday, March 28, the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo, the panel of judges, would still pay close attention to granting or not the request.
"When the court helps call, there will be a wedge with that side. So, you have to be careful," Suhartoyo said during a trial at the Constitutional Court building, Thursday, March 28.
However, Suhartoyo did not rule out the opportunity to summon the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet as long as the panel of judges needed information from the person concerned.
"Witnesses or experts, later courts must be careful about the essence of partiality. But courts can summon as long as necessary by the court. It could be that what was proposed was also necessary," he said.
