Indonesian Women's U-17 National Team Coach Disbursed Player Criteria For Preparation For The 2024 AFC U-17 Cup
JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian U-17 women football national team, Satoru Mochizuki, has revealed a series of criteria that are the basis for the selection of players to prepare for the squad ahead of the 2024 AFC U-17 Cup.
Satoru Mochizuki explained that the search for players focused on a number of important criteria. The experienced coach emphasized that he is looking for players who have various advantages, especially in key aspects such as speed, strong physique, and good passing and passing skills.
"Of course I look for players who have various advantages. Players who have advantages in certain skills. For example, speed, he must be fast, then high, and big and the header is good. Then players who can pass and pass well," said the plontos head coach.
Satoru Mochizuki also emphasized the importance of good communication skills and the ability to raise the spirit of the team on the field. According to him, players who have the will to fight hard in the field will become valuable assets for the team.

"I want players like that to be the world's top players. But that's all still very far because they are still under 17 years old. So it will definitely take time," said the Japanese coach.
Although acknowledging that the selection process was not easy, Satoru Mochizuki expressed his joy to be able to directly lead the selection of the Women's U-17 national team for the first time. The second wave of player selection has been completed, involving 38 players from various regions in Indonesia.
The U-17 Women national team will prepare for the 2024 AFC U-17 Cup which will be held in Bali on May 6-19. As the host of the event, Indonesia is in Group A with South Korea, North Korea, and the Philippines.
