Dimitrov Reaches Miami Open Final, Challenges Sinner
JAKARTA - Bulgarian tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, managed to reach the Miami Open final after defeating fourth seed Alexander Zverev with a score of 6-4, 6-7(4/7), 6-4 on Friday local time or Saturday 30 March WIB. The victory marked Dimitrov's achievement in reaching the final of the Masters 1000 series for the third time in his career.
In a tight match, Dimitrov took the 5-4 lead in the first set after Zverev went down on his own, giving the Bulgarian player the lead. Even though Zverev hit back well in the second set and won it in a tie-break, Dimitrov remained aggressive in scoring points.
In the determination set, Dimitrov managed to break Zverev's serve in the seventh game with brilliant improvisation, although he almost fell, he managed to do an impressive volley overhead. This victory brought Dimitrov back to top ten at ATP for the first time since 2018, ending his long wait for 260 weeks.

After the match, Dimitrov expressed his joy at the win, explaining that his success in defeating top players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Hubert Hurkacz, and Zverev shows his consistency.
"In this match, I didn't let the ball pass me. We both attacked each other hard from the start," said Dimitrov.
With this achievement, Dimitrov is ready to face the next challenge in the Miami Open final, where he will meet Jannik Sinner. Dimitrov revealed that consistency in defeating top players was a huge success for him, and he hopes to maintain his best performance to win the title in this tournament.
