Call Gibran, Crown Prince Of Abu Dhabi Congratulates

JAKARTA - The vice presidential candidate (cawapes) Gibran Rakabuming Raka received congratulations after being declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The congratulations were conveyed by Sheikh Khaled via telephone directly to Gibran.

"Your Excellency (Sheikh Khaled) prays for further growth and prosperity for the people of Indonesia," read a written statement from the Abu Dhabi Media Office received in Jakarta, Thursday, March 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi expressed his desire to continue working with Gibran to strengthen relations between the two countries and expand bilateral cooperation in various fields.

"Both parties also discussed the progress of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to improve them, as well as topics that are of common interest," said the statement.

Through the telephone line, Gibran also expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Khaled for his congratulations and good wishes to Indonesia.

Previously, the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU), Wednesday, March 20 evening, appointed Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the elected candidate pair in the 2024 General Election with a total of 96,214,691 votes.

Meanwhile, the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair received 40,971,906 votes, while the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. pair got 27,040,878 votes.

After being declared the winners of the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo and Gibran have received congratulations from various world leaders.

Previously, Prabowo was noted to have received congratulations including US President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (Joe Biden), US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Schchez.
