The Cheapest Electric Car Both BYD Officially Launches In China, The Price Is Only IDR 200 Million

JAKARTA - After the presence of BYD Seagull or its name BYD Dolphin Mini in several countries at super cheap prices, starting from 69,800 yuan (around Rp152 million) BYD again kicked off by releasing BYD Yuan Up.

The BYD Yuan Up compact SUV is now officially sold for the local market (China) after obtaining certification last month.

The presence of Yuan Up is expected to help BYD reach a wider potential customer base, at low prices and designs that young people like.

Built on an all-electric e-Platform 3.0 from BYD, this one car is powered by a permanent magnet-synchronous motor at all ranges, and the cheapest version of Yuan Up is equipped with a 32 kWh battery with a range of 301 km CLTC, while the 70 kW and 180 Nm peak torques and 0-100 km/hour acceleration take 12 seconds.

In addition, two other versions have a 130 kW engine that is more powerful with a 290 Nm peak torque, so it can go up to 100 km/hour in 7.9 seconds.

In more detail, Yuan Up has a length dimension of 4,310 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,675 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.

There are many exterior color choices offered for BYD Yuan Up, including green, white, pink and gray colors that do meet younger demographic preferences.

The manufacturer, which is also present in Indonesia, also offers purchase rights in a limited time for the model, where customers who buy before June 30 will benefit an additional 2,000 yuan or IDR 4.4 million.
