BENGKULU - Three civil servants (PNS) at the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation were subjected to a hand arrest operation (OTT) committing a criminal act of illegal levies with the mode of eating vouchers to truck drivers at the UPPKB Timbang Bridge located in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu.
The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimsus) of the Bengkulu Regional Police (Polda) arrested three civil servants (PNS) at the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation for committing criminal acts of illegal levies.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bengkulu Police, Kombes Pol Anuardi, named the three suspects, namely WH (42) a resident of Rejang Lebong Regency, HAP (40) a resident of Bengkulu City and FR (43) a resident of Bengkulu City. "The arrest of the three people is because all three jointly committed acts against the law or abuse of authority by forcing someone to give money in the process of checking the heavy amount," said Kombes Pol Anuardi quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday 27 March. For his actions, the three suspects are threatened with Article 12 letter E junto Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended and added to Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption with a minimum penalty of four years in prison and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
