Kapolda Calls Victims Of Violence By Unscrupulous Soldiers In Ilaga A Member Of KKB

JAYAPURA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fakhiri said the victims of violence perpetrated by soldiers in Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Central Papua were members of the KKB.

The victim is Warinus Murib (not Delfianus Kogoya-ed) and his name is on the wanted list (DPO).

"Indeed, the report was received that it was revealed that the person concerned was a member of the KKB in the Puncak area, and was even included in the DPO," explained Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Fakhiri as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26 evening in Arso, Keerom Regency, Papua.

The Papua Police Chief said Warinus Murib was involved in a number of acts of violence against puskesmas workers in Puncak Regency.

Murib was involved in an attack on a health center construction worker on October 19, 2023 in Eromaga village, causing a worker to die, said Inspector General of Police Fakhiri.

Meanwhile, the Director of Criminal Investigation of the Papua Police, Kombes Achmad Fauzi, said that Warinus Murib, who was a victim of violence by soldiers, was a member of the KKB who was involved in a number of acts of violence that caused the death of civilians.

"Warinus Murib was involved in the attack on the construction workers of the puskesmas in Eromaga village, Puncak Regency," said Kombes Achmad Fauzi.
