Today, 8 Constitutional Court Judges Start Session Of Disputes On The Results Of The 2024 Presidential Election
JAKARTA - The Constitutional Court (MK) has begun to hold a preliminary examination hearing on the dispute over the results of the general election (PHPU) of the president and vice president or the dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential election at the Constitutional Court, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 27.
The trial, which will be held in the form of plenary session, will be chaired directly by the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo along with seven other judges.
Constitutional Justice Anwar Usman is confirmed not to participate in the 2024 presidential election dispute trial as mandated by the Constitutional Court's Honorary Council (MKMK) decision.
Meanwhile, Constitutional Justice Arsul Sani is confirmed to have participated in handling the presidential election dispute trial, as long as there are no objections raised by the parties at trial.
Apart from Suhartoyo and Arsul Sani, other constitutional judges who participated in handling the dispute over the presidential election results were Saldi Isra, Arief Hidayat, Enny Nurbaningsih, Daniel Yusmic P Foekh, M Guntur Hamzah and Ridwan Mansyur.
In the preliminary examination plenary session, the Constitutional Court examined the completeness and clarity of the applicant's application material and the ratification of the applicant's evidence. The day after, March 28, the Constitutional Court began the plenary session of the trial examination.
The plenary trial for trial examinations will be continued on April 1-18, 2024 with a number of activities, namely examining the petitioner's petition, examining the respondent's answers, related parties and Bawaslu, ratifying evidence, examining written evidence, hearing witness statements and hearing expert statements.

After that, on April 19-21, 2024, a panel of judges (RPH) was held where the Constitutional Court judges would discuss disputes over the results and decision-making cases. Then, the plenary session pronounced an interim decision or final decision or decision was made on April 22, 2024.
Based on the schedule on the official website of the Constitutional Court, today's preliminary examination hearing is divided into two sessions. The first session was at 08.00 WIB for case number 1 submitted by candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar. Then, at 13.00 WIB for case number 2 proposed by candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
