Jambi Police Investigate Trade Case Of Internship Mode In Germany

JAMBI - The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Jambi Police is investigating the alleged case of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) mode of a fereinjob or internship in Germany experienced by Jambi University students.

The Director General of the Jambi Regional Police, Kombes Andri Ananta Yudistira, said that the handling of the TIP carried out by the Jambi Regional Police was after information was provided by the Police Attache in Germany.

"Our police attack in Germany then sent a letter to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police and forwarded it to the Jambi Regional Police," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26.

After this information, the Jambi Police moved by asking for information from several students suspected of being victims of TIP and the campus. From the results of the examination, investigators considered that there was a criminal act that occurred. Furthermore, the Jambi Police made a police report model A and is currently still in process.

Andri said that his party examined six students who had finished participating in the fereinjob. For the total number of students registered for this program, there are about 106 people but not all of them are leaving.

The Jambi Regional Police has scheduled further investigations by the campus in the near future.

Andri emphasized that in handling this case his party continues to coordinate with the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. Currently, the TIP case has entered the investigation stage.

Head of Public Relations Unja Muhammad Farisi said that currently all students who take part in internships in Germany have returned to Jambi.

He said there were 80 students who took part in the activity. Before leaving, the organizers had socialized the technical work that would be carried out there, providing and releasing.
