1,000 Koplo Pills Failed To Enter Jayapura, Delivery Through Leaking Expeditions

JAYAPURA - Head of Jayapura Customs Office, Adeltus Lolok, said the joint Jayapura Customs and Excise team and the Papua Police's Narcotics Directorate thwarted the delivery of 1,000 Koplo pills or Y drugs.

The case was revealed after his party received information about a leak from the North Sumatra Customs Office regarding the shipment of goods containing psychotropic drugs to Jayapura.

"After coordination, the joint team conducted an investigation and arrested R along with 1,000 Koplo pills," Jayapura Customs Office Head Adeltus Lolok explained to ANTARA, Monday, March 25 evening in Jayapura.

It was explained that R, a resident of Jayapura, was arrested last Tuesday and of the 1,000 pills that were secured, 19 of them were in a state of destruction.

Thousands of koplo pills that were categorized as narcotics were sent using fast delivery services operating in the Abepura area, Jayapura City.

"Currently, R and the evidence are being held at the Papua Police Detention Center for further processing," said Head of the Jayapura Customs Office, Adeltus Lolok.

Meanwhile, the Director of Drug Research at the Papua Police, Kombes Alfian, separately confirmed the arrest of the owner of 1,000 Koplo pills.

It is true that R was arrested and secured 1,000 Koplo pills which were suspected to be the Thiheksefendil type.

"Investigators are still investigating the case to find out where the thousands of drugs were sold and the owner has been named a suspect and subject to Article 435 or Article 436 of Law No. 17 concerning health," said Kombes Alfian.
