4G BTS Corruption, PT MBS Boss Windi Purnama Sentenced To 3 Years In Prison
JAKARTA - Director of PT Multimedia Berdikari Sejahtera Windi Purnama was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million related to the corruption case in the provision of 4G transceiver station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for BAKTI, Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo).
Chairman of the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) Panel of Judges Rianto Adam Pontoh stated that Windi was legally and convincingly proven according to law guilty of committing a crime of money laundering (TPPU), which was regulated and threatened with criminal penalties under Article 4 of Law (UU) Number 8 of 2010 concerning Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering.
"The defendant was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million provided that if he was not paid, he would be replaced with a sentence of 4 months in prison," Pontoh said at the panel of judges' trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 25.
Pontoh said that the aggravating punishment was that Windi enjoyed the proceeds of a corruption crime of US$3,000, equivalent to Rp. 50 million and Rp. 700 million.
Meanwhile, he continued, several mitigating factors, namely Windi had never been convicted, behaved politely during the examination at trial, pleaded guilty and regretted her actions, and had returned Rp750 million which was obtained from the proceeds of criminal acts of corruption and was returned voluntarily before the pronouncement of the verdict.
Pontoh continued, another thing that lightens the verdict, namely Windi is the backbone of the family and has three young children.

Windi was charged with TPPU together with Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy Irwan Hermawan, former President Director of BAKTI Anang Achmad Latif, and former President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak.
At the direction of Irwan Hermawan, Galumbang Menak Simanjuntak, and Anang Achmad Latif Windi collected Rp243 billion from the commitment fee for the 4G BTS project.
In addition to disbursing Rp243 billion, Windi is also said to have received money. The details are Rp200 million and US$3,000 from Irwan Hermawan and Rp500 million from Irwan Hermawan through the Director of PT Waradhana Yusa Abadi Steven Setiawan Sutrisna.
