After The M 6.5 Sea Earthquake In Java, Operations For Crossing Ships Today Return To Normal
BATULINCIN - PT Pelni Batulicin Tanah Bumbu Branch stated that the shipping of the route to the Samudera Batulicin Port, South Kalimantan Province, Surabaya Perak after an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 hit the North Java Sea in the Tuban City area.
"Pelni Kotabaru-Batulicin continues to serve shipping with the aim of Batulicin-Surabaya. After the earthquake in the Java Sea, it has no impact on the services carried out by the management," said Head of PT Pelni (Persero) Batulicin Yuni Branch, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 24.
It is known that the tectonic earthquake Mag 6.5 shook the Tuban City area of East Java to the coast of South Kalimantan, including Tanah Bumbu Regency and its surroundings on Friday (22/3) afternoon.
During the earthquake, Yuni revealed that there was no fleet shipping activity at the Batulicin Ocean Port to Surabaya, so it did not have an impact on passenger services.
Meanwhile, Yuni said that the number of passengers from Batulicin Port to Java Port and Sulawesi Port had increased since the beginning of Ramadan 1445 Hijri, around 2,100 people, only one departure.
In fact, Yuni said, the number of passengers during normal conditions or before Ramadan reached 2,000 people for a month for two scheduled ship departures.
Yuni said the increase in the number of passengers starting from Ramadan 2024 was the same as the previous year reaching 20 percent.
Regarding Eid al-Fitr 2024, Yuni estimates that the peak of the surge in passengers will occur on April 5, 2024 or D-5 Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri.
To deal with the surge in passengers during Eid transportation, PT Pelni Kotabaru Batulicin has also prepared two additional fleets, especially the Batulicin-Surabaya route.
The two additional fleets are KM Leuser with the destination of Batulicin-Surabaya on March 28, 2024 and KM Binaiya on the same route as the departure schedule on April 6, 2024.
The fleet is a passenger ship with a capacity of 1,000 people with a departure schedule every two weeks or twice a month.
In addition, other fleets such as KM Egon also serve the goals of Batulicin-Pare-Pare-Bontang, Batulicin-Surabaya-Lembar-Wayapu.
KM Wilis serves the goals of Batulicin, Makassar, Labuan Bajo, Bima, Waingapu, Ende, Kupang, Kalabahi. KM Sabuk Nusantara 93 serves the destination of Kotabaru-Batulicin-Pulau 9-Majene-Silopo which operates according to the specified schedule.

Customers or prospective passengers can see information on the availability of tickets through the "Pelni Mobile" application.
Through this application, the person concerned also gets a new ticket and offer availability and an add-on service that can be purchased at the Pelni counter.

Meanwhile, customer vehicle fares can check and order through the "MyCargoo" application at a cost of two-wheeled vehicles of IDR 685.000 per unit and a car with a capacity of more than 2.000 cc of around IDR 2.895,000.
