East Java Provincial Government Prepares Situbondo-Madura Free Homecoming Vessel
SITUBONDO - The East Java Provincial Government facilitates homecoming and free return for Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah for residents of Raas Island, Sumenep Regency, Madura, by providing a ship unit to depart from Janger Port, Situbondo Regency.
The Coordinator of the Regional Embezzlement Port (PPR) of Banyuwangi for the Anchor Working Area, Situbondo, Tri Wahyono, said the East Java Provincial Government provided a ship unit, namely KMP Wicitra Dharma I, to transport travelers for free on the Janger-Raas route.
"This free homecoming and return transportation only accommodates passengers and two-wheeled vehicles. In addition, officers will not accept other transportation," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 23.
Meanwhile, PT Dharma Dwipa Utama (DDU) Manager Maman Surahman explained that his company is trusted to return this year for free homecoming and return from the East Java Provincial Transportation Service.
"Alhamdulillah, we are trusted to return to implement the homecoming transportation program and return to the East Java Provincial Government free. We have prepared a ship unit, KMP Wicitra Dharma I," he said.

Maman said, according to the schedule set for homecoming transportation and free return for residents of Raas Island, it will be implemented starting April 2.
Homecoming is free to depart from Anchor Port to Raas Island, as many as four trips (four departures) round-trip (PP), namely on April 2, 4, 6, and 8, 2024.
"So, from Janger to Raas there are four trips for homecoming, and after Lebaran or return, three trips are free from Raas to Janger," said Mama.
The content capacity of KMP Wicitra Dharma I in one departure is 250 passengers and 150 motorcycles.
"This free homecoming and return transportation program specifically serves class II passengers and vehicles or motorcycles," he said.
