2 Women For Dozens Of Yearsroyok Teman Sebaya Arrested, Motive Offended On Social Media

KENDARI - Kendari City Police (Polresta), Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) arrested two women who beat a minor in Kendari City.

"Two suspects with the initials IRM (16) and ZAM (17). Meanwhile, the victim with the initials ANA (16)," said Head of the Kendari Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Fitrayadi when met in Kendari, Friday, March 22, confiscated by Antara.

He said the beating took place on Tuesday, March 19, when the victim was invited by his cousin to a fishery building in Bungkutoko Village. Upon arrival, the victim saw that the two suspects were in the empty building.

"Then the victim was invited to the second floor, then while on the second floor, the two suspects immediately beat the victim until the victim was unconscious and fell to the floor," he said.

Fitrayadi conveyed the incident, the victim's parents objected and reported the beating to the Kendari Police.

"After receiving the report, we immediately carried out an investigation," he said.

He revealed that shortly after an investigation was carried out, his party immediately went to the house and brought the two perpetrators to the Kendari Police for further investigation.

"The beating was motivated because of offense due to the status of one of the suspects on social media (medsos)," said Fitrayadi.

He added that the arrests of the two perpetrators were based on preliminary evidence that was quite strongly suspected of having committed a criminal act of child abuse or violence together against people.

"As regulated in Article 80 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 76 C of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection or Article 170 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code Subs Article 351 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 5-6 years in prison," he said.
