RIAU - Riau Police concluded that the unnatural death of the Bukit Raya Sector Police (Polsek) in Pekanbaru City was suspected to have been caused by being mistreated by a cellmate.
"The results of the investigation have been concluded to be true. Now it is at the level of investigation and in the near future we will determine the suspect," said Head of Sub-Directorate III of Jatanras Ditreskrimum Riau Police Commissioner Indra Lamhot Sihombing in Pekanbaru, Thursday, March 21, confiscated by Antara.
He said, from the results of the examination, it was found that there were signs of violence on Dimas's body. One of them is in the back of the head and is in several other parts.
"From the information and coordination of Medicine and Health (Dokkes) of the Bhayangkara Police Hospital, Riau Police, which carried out an exhumation, it is suspected that there were signs of violence. Later, we will wait for the results from the Dokkes," he explained.
Dimas was known to have breathed his last in November 2023. He reportedly fell in the bathroom of the Polsek detention room.

Initially, the family refused to do an autopsy, until finally Dimas's body was buried at the Medan Polonia Muslim Public Cemetery (TPU), North Sumatra (North Sumatra). Later the family made a report to the Riau Police on January 23.
The family stated that they found a number of scars that were suspected of being caused by violence while bathing the body. To explore the case of Dimas' death, a team from the Riau Police Ditreskrimum together with the Forensic Bhayangkara Hospital then conducted an exhumation on March 3.
After that, a number of parties have been questioned for questioning, including five detainees from the Bukit Raya Police. The head of the Bukit Raya Police, AKP Syafnil, has also been investigated by the Profession and Security Division of the Riau Police regarding the death of Dimas Fernada.
Two Bukit Raya Police personnel were also transferred because they were suspected of asking their families for some money to handle this case.
