Kona Latest Electric Hasn't Been Sold In Indonesia Yet, Hyundai: Wait For The Game Date!
JAKARTA - At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has launched the latest Kona Electric by bringing significant changes compared to the previous generation.
This car uses a base from its gasoline version model featuring a compacter and stiffer design, but highlights the modern and futuristic sides.
However, this car will not be announced for sale and is only exhibited at one of the largest automotive events in the country. Of course, now raises the question of how much the company will charge for this SUV.
Responding to this, PT HMID's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Franciscus Soerjopranoto said that his party had surveyed consumers for a decent price for this model.
"The point we told you at IIMS yesterday, we have conducted a survey to consumers about the appropriate price for this car," said the man who is familiarly called Soerjo on the sidelines of the breaking of the fast with the media in Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 20.

Soerjo also explained that this was done so that Kona Electric had competitive prices so that it could compete with a number of brands from China that first sold EVs in similar segments in Indonesia.
"Some Chinese companies have also announced their EV prices, so we are still considering the price and don't want to make many promises about delivery time," added Soerjo.
However, Soerjo also added that some customers have been pre-booking systems for this model since IIMS 2024 but do not want to disclose the number of orders.
"There are already people who do the pre-booking system, but we will not tell the amount. So, wait for the launch date," concluded Soerjo.
