JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin chaired the evaluation meeting to achieve the stunting prevalence target together with the Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS) at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta, today.
"This year, we are entering the last year of accelerating stunting reduction. We need to evaluate whether the stunting prevalence target of 14 percent in 2024 can be achieved or not," said the Vice President in an introductory speech while chairing a meeting in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 19, was confiscated by Antara.
The vice president, who is the Head of the TPPS Steering Committee, said that since the implementation of the 2018 stunting reduction acceleration program, the downward trend in stunting has been quite good.
However, based on the report of the Minister of Health (Menkes), said the Vice President, the results of the 2023 Indonesian health survey showed a prevalence of stunting of 21.5 percent, or only down 0.1 percent from 2022.
According to the Vice President, this is one of the things that needs attention.
"This is a concern. This means that this number is not following the target of decreasing," he explained.
