State Expenditures Reach IDR 470.3 Trillion by March 15 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported that the realization of state spending until March 15 2024 reached IDR 470.3 trillion or reached 14.1 percent of the target in the 2024 APBN which was IDR 3,325.1 trillion.

"State spending up to March 15 2024 has spent IDR 470.3 trillion. "The realization (state spending) grew 18.1 percent compared to the same period last year," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati during a working meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Tuesday (19/3).

As for the realization of state spending, it consists of central government spending, the realization of which reached IDR 328.9 trillion or 13.3 percent of the target. And this realization grew 17 percent compared to the same period last year.

Sri Mulyani said that central government spending consisted of Ministry/Agency spending, the realization of which reached IDR 165.4 trillion or 15.2 percent of the target, and grew 24.5 percent from the same period last year.

Sri Mulyani explained that the increase in ministry/agency spending was due to high spending for general election needs and the distribution of various social assistance.

So there was an increase in spending channeled through non-Ministry/Agency spending reaching IDR 163.4 trillion or 11.9 percent of the target. This spending also grew 10.4 percent from the same period last year.

Meanwhile, non-ministerial/institutional spending is channeled towards energy subsidy needs and pensioner benefit payments.

Furthermore, state spending was also channeled for transfers to regions (TKD), the realization of which reached IDR 141.4 trillion or 16.5 percent of the ceiling. This realization also grew 20.5 percent compared to the realization from the same period last year.
