Thousands Of Truck And Motorcycle Accident Cases Occur In North Jakarta, Residents Claim To Be Restless

JAKARTA According to records, truck accidents with motorized vehicle users in North Jakarta have reached thousands of cases in the last 10 years. One of the most prominent cases was the death of a motorcyclist with a truck passing on Plumpang Semper Street, Koja, North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head Kompol Edy Purwanto revealed that Yamaha Jupiter's motorcyclist and passenger with police number B 6077 UQH died at the scene (TKP).

"The victim died a motorcycle rider with the initials TMP and a motorcycle passenger with the initials HE," said Edy when confirmed by reporters, Monday.

In this incident, TMP (54) suffered injuries to the head and abrasions. Meanwhile, HE (50) suffered injuries to the head, bruised abdomen, and abrasions to his hands.

"There was damage to the Yamaha Jupiter motorcycle on the left body and baret handlebar," said Edy.

The number of accidents involving motorists with trucks is a special concern for local residents. Budi Haryanto as a road user, complained about the large number of garages and pools as well as container depots and trailers in the community village area. So according to Budi, it makes people feel worried and restless.

"As a road user in the North Jakarta area. Because the crowd (solid) causes traffic to be congested, almost every day causes continuous traffic jams that never end," said Budi Haryanto who is also the chairman of the North Jakarta Alliance Sues (JUM).

Budi continued, all stakeholders and stakeholders are considered unable to hear the complaints of the people of North Jakarta.

Therefore, Budi made a subpoena to the Governor of DKI Jakarta and PT Pelindo because they were deemed unable to protect Jakarta residents from tragic deaths due to being hit and run over by container trucks.

"Declare our stance as residents of North Jakarta to open the perspective of legal events and legal facts that have occurred for years. The local government, especially in North Jakarta and even those who have port policies, namely Pelindo, seems to have turned a blind eye to events and events that have caused many casualties due to accidents that occur every day and take lives," said Budi.

"We, the North Jakarta alliance advocates, are suing to represent the unrest, fear and concern of the people of North Jakarta. To prepare a line with the strength of togetherness to change the city spatial planning zoning based on a one-door integrated technology system so that all garages and pools as well as container depots and trailers are well organized. This is our seriousness, sending our subpoena officially and in writing addressed to PT. Pelindo and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, we demand that there be justice and serious attention from the parties responsible," he concluded.
