Father And Child Caretaker Of Islamic Boarding School Become Suspects Of Obscenity Of Dozens Of Students In Trenggalek

TRENGGALEK - Trenggalek Resort Police, East Java, finally named father and son who was the caretaker and owner of the Islamic boarding school as suspects for molestation of dozens of students.

"Yes, his status is already a suspect," said Trenggalek Police Chief AKBP Gathut Bowo Supriyono in Trenggalek as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 15.

The determination of the suspect status was carried out by investigators after conducting a series of initial examinations and finding two strong pieces of evidence, namely complaints and testimonies of four victims of sexual abuse, as well as the confessions of the two witnesses reported during interrogation by the Trenggalek Police Women and Children Protection Unit (UPPA).

In addition to determining the status of a suspect, the police have also detained the father and son who are the owners and principals of the school at the Islamic boarding school.

"Both of them were detained on Thursday (14/3) night," said the Police Chief.

Previously, M (72) and his son with the initials F (37) were reported to the police on suspicion of molestation against a number of their students.

The police chief said that until now there were four victims who had officially reported to the Trenggalek Police Headquarters. However, it is suspected that there were dozens of students who were victims of the obscene acts of the father and child caregiver of the boarding school.

"The mode is that the boarding school owner asks his students to clean a room," said the Police Chief.

When the situation was quiet, the perpetrator carried out his depraved act. From the statements of the suspect and the victim, the action was carried out over a span of three years from 2021 to 2024.
