PSI Wants The Next Figure Of The Governor Of DKI Like Jokowi
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) is starting to look for the right figures to be promoted as candidates for governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 DKI gubernatorial election.
Chairman of the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, William Aditya Sarana, admitted that his party has not yet determined who will be promoted in the DKI Regional Election. However, what is certain is that PSI wants the Governor of DKI Jakarta to be led by figures like Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"We certainly remember in 2012, when Pak Jokowi was elected, Pak Jokowi was a governor who created real hope for the community, because he was a person who was very close to his people and immediately understood the existing problems," William said in his statement, Friday, March 15.
The party led by Kaesang Pangarep views that while serving as Governor of DKI since 2012, Jokowi has shown that leaders can be close to their people.
Jokowi is also considered to immediately understand Jakarta's problems with his frequent leadership style.
"In my opinion, the leader who immediately went to the community immediately understood the problems that were below. And for the first time, I think a governor is very close to his people. There is no limit or no barrier," said William.
William also revealed Jokowi's work which was considered beneficial for the community, ranging from the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) program, the Healthy Jakarta Card (KJS), to the realization of MRT Jakarta development in 2013.
"These programs can be born of course because Pak Jokowi understands problems in society and dares to make decisions quickly and precisely," explained William.
