ChatGPT Users Will Get News Content Access From Le Monde And Media Prisa

JAKAARTA - On Wednesday, March 13, OpenAI announced a partnership with two international news organizations, namely Le Monde and Prisa Media, to bring French and Spanish news content to ChatGPT.

This partnership allows ChatGPT users to interact with high-quality content from Le Monde and Prisa Media regarding recent events. In addition, this content will also contribute to training our artificial intelligence models.

We are committed to supporting journalism by implementing new AI technology and increasing opportunities for content creators. Through partnerships with Le Monde and Prisa Media, our goal is to allow ChatGPT users around the world to connect with news through interactive and informative new ways," said Brad Lightcap, COO OpenAI.

In the coming months, ChatGPT users will be able to interact with relevant news summarys of these publishers, with improved attributes and links to the original article. This gives users the ability to access additional information or related articles from their news sites.

This partnership allows us to expand our reach and maintain our commitment to providing accurate, verifiable, and widely balanced news. Each change in the media landscape has provided Le Monde a new opportunity. Since 2010, Le Monde has been a pioneer of digital media in France, with more than 600,000 subscribers, 2.2 million unique users every day, and more than 632 million page views per month, "said Louis Dreyfus, CEO of Le Monde.

Carlos Nu Mariez, Chairman and CEO of Prisa Media, also emphasized, "Joining OpenAI opens new opportunities for us to interact with our audience. We hope this partnership will enrich the news experience for ChatGPT users."

The partnership aims to ensure that authoritative news content is accessible and valued by a wider and diverse audience.
