Minister Of Home Affairs Inaugurates Bustami Hamzah As Acting Governor Of Aceh
BANDA ACEH - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian on behalf of the President inaugurated Bustami Hamzah as Acting Governor of Aceh replacing Achmad Marzuki.
"I believe that you will carry out your duties as well as possible, according to the responsibilities given," said Tito Karnavian, in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 13.
The inauguration procession took place in the hall of the Ministry of Home Affairs, also attended by the leadership of the Aceh DPR, the chairman of the Aceh Party Muzakir Manaf and a number of other Acehnese figures and politicians.
Tito said that the Acting Governor has almost the same authority as the definitive Governor, except in four ways, including not being allowed to transfer positions in his environment without the permission of the Minister of Home Affairs.
"In addition, the Acting Governor of Aceh must also not make strategic policies such as regional expansion without the permission of the Minister of Home Affairs," he said.

Tito hopes that Bustami can carry out the mandate as well as possible for Aceh's progress. There is still a lot of homework to do.
Then, the Acting Governor must realize the Aceh-Sumut PON in September 2024, and for the event, the Central Government, both the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of PUPR, the Ministry of Finance and others will help.
"Because the implementation of the Aceh PON is not just an implementation of the program. But it must bring pride and honor to Aceh," he said.
Not only that, Tito also asked the Acting Governor of Aceh to prepare for the simultaneous regional elections in Aceh, and immediately check the script for the regional grant agreement or NPHD from the district/city government to KIP, Bawaslu and security.
"Actually, my instructions have been to allocate 40 percent of the NPHD funds transferred to the organizers, supervisors and security of the Pilkada from the 2023 budget, so that in 2024 only 60 percent will be allocated again," said Tito Karnavian.
