Survey Calls Dico A Strong Candidate For Cagub Central Java, Observer: Young Potential And Has Real Proof Of Work

JAKARTA - After Ganjar Pranowo's leadership, a number of figures were included in the Central Java gubernatorial candidate exchange (Cegub Jateng) in the 2024 simultaneous regional elections. One of them is Kendal Regent Dico Ganinduto who is strongly taken into account to win the seat of number one person in Central Java.

This is because Dico's name is often in the top 5 in a number of surveys as a potential candidate to fight in the gubernatorial election contestation in Central Java. Responding to Dico's positive trend, the Chairperson of LPPMII (Institution for the Development and Empowerment of the Indonesian Information Society), Kamilov Sagala also spoke up.

For example, Dico Ganinduto, a young person who has the capacity to even follow in Emil Dardak's footsteps as a benchmark if young people can lead an area with real action and work," Kamilov said in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 12.

Kamilov said that if we look at the composition of geography and socio-political culture, Dico's position is predicted to dominate votes in North and South Central Java.

"If you look at the composition of political geography, which used to be red, now after the 2024 presidential election, it is predicted that there will be changes, the position of the voices of young people like Dico will be very large in control of the North and South regions of Central Java, especially the voices of fishermen," he said.

As for the central region, continued Kamilov, Dico needs extra work to get votes from the elders and kyai. This is because voters in the area tend to listen more to what the elders and figures who are elders, especially those from NU and Muhammadiyah.

"However, political dynamics can change if it refers to the multipler effect of the 2024 presidential election, and the presence of young people such as Dico to compete in the Central Java gubernatorial election can be something that other candidates must take into account. Because Dico has demonstrated with evidence of real work during his tenure as Kendal Regent," he said.

For information, Dico M Ganinduto is the Regent of Kendal for the period (2021-2024). His name was also included in the Central Java cagub exchange in a number of surveys. One of the survey institutions, namely Aksara, in January 2024, released four names that entered the stock exchange as candidates for the Governor of Central Java.
