Followers Of Tarekat Syattariyah In Nagan Raya Aceh Have Fasted For Three Days
JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Religion set the beginning of fasting or 1 Ramadan 1445 Hijri/2024 AD falls on Tuesday, March 12, but Syattariyah's followers in Nagan Raya Regency have started since Saturday, March 9.
Thousands of Muslim communities who follow the Syattariyah strarekat in Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province, have been fasting for two days this year. "Hopefully this difference can unite the Muslim community in starting one Ramadan," said the Head of the Nagan Raya Regency Islamic Sharia Service, Wahidin, quoted from ANTARA, Monday, March 11.
Wahidin said the difference in determining the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for the people of Nagan Raya Regency is common and has been going on for years.
Although there are differences in fasting Ramadan, said Wahidin, the harmony of the people in the area is well maintained and maintained.
