SAR Team Finds Cargo Smart Air Debris That Crashed In Binuang

The joint SAR team found the wreckage of the PK-SNE aircraft belonging to the Smart Aviation airline that crashed in Binuang, North Kalimantan (Kaltara) at coordinates 3°43'45.80" N115°56'54.45"E.

"There was found the wreckage of the plane and the fire was thought to have been made by the victim who was still alive to give a sign," said Head of the Tarakan Basarnas, Syahril, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 9.

The Smart Air aircraft was piloted by Captain M. Yusuf and an Engineer on Board (EOB) named Deni S.

Smart Air aircraft are recorded to carry cargo cargo weighing a total of 583 kilograms.

"The search for Smart Aircraft was temporarily suspended. The Basarnas team and helicopters spent the night at Robert Atty Blessing Airport, Malinau, North Kalimantan Province," he said.
