KIA EV9 Sapa Pasar Thailand, Present In Two Variants With A Price Starting From IDR 1.53 Billion

JAKARTA - KIA EV9 officially launched for the Thai market, which was previously also present in Singapore in early January 2024 and for the Indonesian market in August 2023 at the GIIAS exhibition.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Saturday, March 9, in Thailand Kia EV9 is offered in two variants, namely Earth Long Range which sells for 3,499 million baht or around Rp1.53 billion, and the GT-Line AWD variant with the top specifications for 3,899 million baht Rp1.7 billion.

The two variants come with a capacity of six seats and are equipped with a lithium-ion 99.8 kWh battery. However, both are different in terms of a powertrain where the Earth Long Range variant is equipped with a rear wheel drive with an electric motor measuring 203 PS and a torque of 350 Nm.

Meanwhile, GT-Line AWD comes with a dual motorcycle layout where each electric motor produces 192 PS and 350 Nm with a total of 384 PS and 700 Nm. In more detail, the Earth Long Range variant can cover a distance of up to 680 km and GT-Line AWD is able to cover a distance of up to 647 km based on NEDC calculations.

Regarding charging, this electric car already supports the AC type, so to charge 10-80 percent it only takes 45 minutes, it's interesting that there is also a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system capable of producing outputs of up to 3.58 kW to power electricity for other purposes.

Talking about safety features, there is no doubt that the two variants are equipped with parking sensors, rear passenger warnings, air bags and many more.

In addition, there are also Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Near Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance, Lane Following Assist with Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist as well as Safe Exit Assist.

The Kia EV9, which is sold in Thailand, is fully imported (CBU) from South Korea and is equipped with seven-year vehicle guarantees, eight-year high-voltage battery guarantees, seven-year free maintenance, and GT-Line AWD deliveries will begin for the first time in April this year, and Earth Long Range will follow in June.
