Aviaton Smart Pioneer Plane Allegedly Crashed In The Cliff Of Mount Narita Krayan
TARAKAN The pioneering plane belonging to the Smart Aviation airline, which reportedly lost contact, is now known to exist.
The PK SNE type PC6 aircraft initially took off with flight routes from Tarakan to Binuang Village, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan (Kaltara).
The plane allegedly crashed on the cliffs of Mount Narita, about 4 kilometers from the pioneering airport point of Binuang village, Central Krayan District.
South Krayan Police Chief Ipda Andi Irwan said residents around the scene had heard a loud bang on the mountain cliff at around 10:00 WITA. However, residents do not know for sure the cause of the explosion came from the crash of the pioneering plane.
"I have ordered four personnel from the South Krayan Police to go to the scene with local residents," he said, Friday, March 8.
To reach the scene, Polsek personnel can only use trail motorbikes because road conditions have to cross mountainous areas.

"In addition, there is no telephone network, especially the internet, I am still waiting for reports from our personnel who are on their way," he explained.
Based on the information received, the pioneering plane (Smart) brought basic necessities that were included in the transportation cost subsidy program (SOA) for goods financed by the central government through the 2024 State Budget.
The plane was manned by Capt M Yusuf and enginer on board (EOB) pilot Deni S. This cargo aircraft carries a cargo weighing 583 kilograms.
