Implementation Of ESG, AirNav Indonesia Encourages Sustainable Agriculture In Wonosobo
JAKARTA - As a form of implementation of environmental principles in ESG, AirNav Indonesia encourages the creation of a sustainable agricultural ecosystem by inaugurating the Air Organic Agriculture program on Thursday, March 7. Located in Bowongso Village, Wonosobo, Central Java, this program aims to create an organic agricultural ecosystem through the provision of environmentally friendly agricultural needs.
AirNav Indonesia as the only provider of flight navigation services in Indonesia has a responsibility to maintain flight safety. The release of hot air balloons can interfere with flight safety in Indonesia and is prohibited in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 40 of 2018. Therefore, this water organic agriculture program is implemented as one of our efforts to suppress and reduce routine activities that are usually carried out by the people of Wonosobo, namely the release of air balloons that are not in accordance with applicable regulations.
Carrying the theme 'Great Organic Farmers, Healthy Environment', the inauguration of this program was attended by the Regional Secretary of Wonosobo Regency, General Manager AirNav Yogyakarta Branch, Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Service Wonosobo, District Government, BPP Among Tani Coordinator, Village Government, Berkah Tani Group and Farmers Group Partners in Bowongso Village.
General Manager of AirNav Indonesia Yogyakarta Branch, Zainal Arifin Harahap said, as a company engaged in providing flight navigation services, AirNav Indonesia is currently working to build a sustainable company with a commitment to the principles of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). Zainal said that the Air Organic Agriculture Program is the company's contribution in applying ESG principles to environmental aspects and he hopes to reduce carbon emissions in the agricultural sector.
"This program is a form of AirNav Indonesia's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) and our commitment to ESG principles on environmental aspects. In addition to encouraging the improvement of the community's economy through agricultural intensification, in this program we are trying to contribute to the achievement of Net Zero Emission (NZE). As we know, agriculture is one of the contributors to carbon emissions due to the excessive use of chemical fertilizers. through the Air Organic Agriculture program, we are trying to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, through optimizing the use of organic fertilizers and environmentally friendly agriculture," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Wonosobo Regency Drs. One Andang Wardoyo, M.Si expressed his appreciation to AirNav Indonesia for the initiative of the Air Organic Agriculture Program. He hopes that this program will be able to encourage progress for agriculture in Wonosobo Regency in particular.

The head of the Muhapit farmer group, thanked AirNav Indonesia for presenting this program. He and other farmers were greatly helped by the training in making organic fertilizers and supporting agricultural tools. Muhapit also hopes that AirNav Indonesia can continue to assist the group so that farmers can implement organic farming independently.
"So far, we have been very dependent on chemical fertilizers, which are also rare besides being expensive. Thank you AirNav Indonesia, hopefully this program can continue until agriculture in our area is more advanced," he said.
