Google Develop App Mall To Download Apps On Chromebooks

JAKARTA Google is developing an application store for devices with the ChromeOS operating system (OS). This application called App Mall was created to facilitate application search.

Quoted from 9to5google, this app is being tested by Google. During testing, the app is locked in the Chrome flag. When clicked, the flag will direct Chromebook users to the website to be launched on the discover.app.chrome.

For now, the website cannot be opened and will display the sign of 404 Errors. It is not yet known what the shape of the application is, but it is suspected that this application will include applications such as Android games and web applications.

Chromebooks are interesting devices because users can access three different types of applications. They can access progressive web applications (PWA), Google Play Store, and Steam to download games.

Unfortunately, Chromebooks do not have a special place to search for all types of applications. Users must look for applications according to the type of application so this method can be very troublesome. Therefore, Google created App Mall.

If this app store can access all types of apps, users may be able to install Linux development environments that offer a variety of desktop apps such as Android Studio and other apps.

There is no information regarding when this application will be launched. However, Google has provided a description that App Mall, "allows apps to find and install other apps."
