KONI Wants To Climb Cliffs To Make History At The 2024 Paris Olympics
JAKARTA The chairman of the Central KONI, Marciano Norman, wants the rock climbing sport to create history by contributing to the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The rock climbing sport already has two representatives to Paris later. The two athletes are Rahmad Adi Mulyono and Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi.
"Let's support these two athletes. This will be a historic Olympics where other sports contribute gold. I hope rock climbing athletes will determine history," said Marciano.
In Olympic history, gold medals for Indonesia have never been donated by other sports. The only sport that routinely gives gold medals is badminton.
Therefore, this year Indonesia departed for Paris with a target of making two history at once. Won more than two gold medals for the first time and led other sports to excel.

Chairman of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (FPTI), Yenny Wahid, said it was not impossible for rock climbing to make history in Paris.
"The enthusiasm of the athletes to present medals, especially gold, for our beloved country is very strong," said Yenny, who is the daughter of Indonesia's fourth former President, Gus Dur.
FPTI is still trying to add athletes in the four-year multi-event. They are targeting to add two more, one son and one daughter each.
Two qualifications that could be an opportunity for FPTI to add athletes in Paris are the Shanghai 2024 Olympic Qualifier Series on May 16-19 2024 and the Budapest Olympic Qualifier Series on June 20-23 June 2024.
