Kulon Progo KPU Denies PSI's Voice Inflated At 9 TPS

The General Election Commission of Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, has denied any allegations of inflating the votes of the Indonesian Solidarity Party in nine polling stations (TPS) in the 2024 General Election as circulated on social media.

Head of the Technical Division for the Implementation of KPU Kulon Progo's Election, Hidayatut Thoyyibah, said that the vote count on the results of the 2024 General Election in the Regency was based on manual calculations and had been submitted directly to witnesses and Bawaslu.

"So far, the number of votes acquired from recaps in the sub-districts containing recapitulation from polling stations, villages to sub-districts has been appropriate, as well as the results of district-level recapitulation," said Hidayatut, ANTARA, Sunday, March 3.

He also said the number set as a result of the recapitulation was contained in document D. "The results of the sub-district and D, and the results of the district," he said.

Hidayatut gave an example of the TPS in Kalurahan Banjaroyo, in accordance with manual calculations, it is certain that there will be no inflating of votes. Likewise at polling stations 4.5 and 6 Kalurahan Karangsewu and at TPS Dam there is no inflating of votes.

"From TPS to accumulated with the acquisition of villages, sub-districts and districts, it is contained in data D," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of KPU Kulon Progo Budi Priyana said there was no inflated votes for the 2024 election participants. The witness who took part in the voting stage will definitely say the opportunity for inflating the votes was very tightly closed.

"There is no chance for that. Because every number read by KPU members, the data held by witnesses, Bawaslu and KPU are compared to Sirekap. The data is observed together, so that the opportunity for inflating votes, in my opinion, does not exist and is very closed," he said.
