PT Pertamina Supports Powerboat F1 In Lake Toba, North Sumatra
PT Pertamina (Persero) again gave its support at the F1 Powerboat super fast racing world championship (F1H20) which took place from 2 to 3 March 2024 in Balige, Lake Toba, North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that Pertamina's support in this event was aimed at advancing national water and tourism sports. In addition, Pertamina also hopes that this event can create a multiplier effect for the regional economy.
"This is the second year that Pertamina supports the activities of F1 Powerboat. Pertamina's support is in line with our commitment to the tourism sector and national sports to be more global," said Fadjar in his official statement in Jakarta.
To ensure the smooth running of the event, Pertamina has prepared the highest quality energy supply, including Pertamax Turbo, Pertamax, Pertamina Dex, and Avtur fuels. Pertamax Turbo Ron 98 stock of 30,000 liters has been prepared for use by racers in driving their water vehicles.
"The quality of Pertamax Turbo is in accordance with world racing standards so that it is suitable for use in various international events," added Fadjar.
In addition, Pertamina also provides 8.000 liters of Pertamax fuel stock and 100 liters of Pertamina Dex to support Basarnas in carrying out its task of securing F1 Powerboat activities on water and land. For air needs, Pertamina has prepared a stock of 9.400 liters of Avtur for helicopters in charge of monitoring the event.

Fadjar also emphasized that F1 Powerboat is a magnet for domestic and foreign tourists, so it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on the regional economy, especially through multiplier effects of trading activities.
In addition to supporting fuel events and availability, Pertamina also collaborates with four fostered micro and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to market its superior products such as Tanaya Dominic Pattiserie, Birna Coffee, Zack Kress Chips, and Tenun Ulos Sakkamedeha.
