AHY: Road Development In East Kalimantan Can Move Community Economy

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said road construction in the East Kalimantan (Kaltim) Provocation was urgently needed to drive the economy in the region.

"The roads built in East Kalimantan are very much needed by the community for economic movement," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 1.

If transportation facilities get better, he continued, the more established and the people's economy will also move.

The statement was made by AHY after the inauguration of the East Kalimantan Provincial Road Instruction, accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in a series of working visits to the Nusantara City area on February 29, March 1, 2024.

The road construction that was inaugurated, according to him, was a form of effort made by the central government during President Jokowi's leadership in building all of Indonesia.

AHY also reviewed the construction of the Presidential Office and continued to a number of groundbreaking signs for the start of new physical development in the Nusantara City area.

"For the progress of the construction of the Presidential Office, it has reached around 74 percent," he said.

AHY admitted that after the agenda for the first day of visit, staying in the Tropical Forest Residential area, located in Glamping, Nusantara City, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, along with other presidents and ministers who accompanied.

"Last night we stayed in Glamping with the president and other ministers," he said.

In the morning before carrying out the work agenda, I had time to relax (jogging) while enjoying the scenery and also the atmosphere in the city of Nusantara.
