UFC president Dana White is rumored to be trying to sign a new contract. In fact, Notorious still has two fights left in his current contract.
In response to this, Dana White immediately denied it. He claims that there is no problem with the contract. He insists he is waiting when McGregor is ready.
"Conor McGregor is probably one of the best business partners we've ever had. Making Conor come on time is a problem."
"However, Conor, in terms of business, everyone talks about how Conor used to always receive help and other things."
"For people who get help, Conor McGregor is a very good businessman. Conor McGregor has always been a good partner for us. There has never been a bargaining money."
"Conor McGregor never did anything close to it. On the contrary," White said as reported by The Sun.
Regarding McGregor's readiness, White did not want to make assumptions. He returned all decisions to the Irish fighter.
"Only Conor knows (when he's ready). This is a question for Conor McGregor, not me. I know he's training. I don't know what level of training he's doing."
"I don't know what level of kick he's doing right now. I don't know all that".
"I need to know that the man is ready and he is ready to leave. Conor McGregor will release it."
"He has a business that he builds. It's a very different dynamic when you deal with men who have that much money," White said again.
Conor McGregor has indeed returned to full training and is eager to return to the octagon. He has shared several times of his training moments on his personal Instagram.
The mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter has not set foot in the octagon since a broken left leg in a trilogy battle against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
The former two-division champion is undergoing tiring rehabilitation so that he is fit and tries hard to return to the octagon.
