According to a rice trader named Hendi, previously the price of premium rice reached Rp. 14,000.00 per kilogram.

"Premium rice has now dropped to Rp13,500.00 per kilogram," he told reporters, Friday, March 1.

According to Hendi, this price decline occurred recently. Many people are happy with the decline, although they hope the price can be even cheaper.

Meanwhile, the price of premium quality rice at Slipi Market, West Jakarta is still at Rp. 16,000.00 per liter. Meanwhile, medium quality rice fell to Rp. 14,500.00 per liter.

One of the rice traders, Aan said, the decline in rice prices had occurred two days ago.

"The price of medium rice fell from a price of Rp. 15,500.00 to Rp. 14,500.00. Meanwhile, the price of premium quality rice from a price of Rp. 17,000.00 per liter fell to Rp. 16,000.00 per liter," he said.

According to Aan, previously the price of rice rose every week. The increase starts from Rp. 3,000 to Rp. 5,000 So that many residents feel burdened with the increase.

The decline in rice prices in the West Jakarta area has not been evenly distributed. This was revealed by one of the buyers of Ropiah (54) rice at Slipi Market, West Jakarta.

Ropiah said the decline in rice prices had not been so significant. According to him, the decline in rice prices greatly had an impact on him, especially before the fasting month.

"The government must be able to continue to stabilize prices in the market so that food prices can return to normal, especially ahead of the month of Ramadan," he admitted.

Previously, the price of medium and premium quality rice at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, East Jakarta, decreased.

Medium quality rice from Bulog is sold at the Cipinang Rice Main Market at a price of IDR 10,600 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, premium quality rice fell to Rp13,500 - Rp13,700 per kilogram, after yesterday's Rp14,500 per kilogram.

"Today it has dropped and there is a lot of supply. People don't have to worry. The price of premium quality rice was Rp. 13,500.00 - Rp. 13,700 per kilogram at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, yesterday it was Rp. 14,500 per kilogram," said Head of Indonesian Rice Entrepreneurs (Perpadi) DKI Jakarta, Nellys Soekidi told reporters, Wednesday, February 28.
