Lamborghini Prepares 'Huracan STJ' As Farewell To Huracan Series

JAKARTA - Lamborghini plans to launch a successor to Huracan by carrying a hybrid V8 engine. Prior to its appearance, the manufacturer with the banteng logo went berserk, releasing the last variant of this iconic model, Huracan STJ.

According to a CarBuzz report, Thursday, February 29, this well-known Italian supercar brand has submitted two trademarks, namely Huracan STJ and STJ, to the European Intellectual Property Office recently. Reportedly the name submission was accompanied by the official logo of the upcoming model with a combined S, T, and J striking red.

It is also reported that this car will be the top version of all levels of the series ever and positioned on top of the Huracan STO. In addition, this model has the potential to be a special track-only' vehicle.

Huracan STO is one of three versions of Huracan Evo which was developed as a farewell to the second generation of this series, in addition to Sterrato and Technica. STO stands for Super Trofeo Omologata which refers to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series.

For the upcoming model, the manufacturer uses the name badge STJ with J defined as Jota. Historically, the embedding of the letter J was devoted to the special edition Lamborghini model, such as the Aventador J which was launched in 2012 and Miura Jota in 1970.

The 'Jota', the Spanish word for the letters J, refers to the Appendix J FIA and Miura Jota racing regulations, which are ready-to-race models developed by automotive engineer and test driver Bob Wallace in 1970. The car is only available for one unit, but the supercar had an accident and caught fire one year later.

The name 'Jota' was also used in Diablo in 1995. Diablo Jota is only available as many as 28 units with increased power and torque, interior and exterior modifications, as well as improvements to the exhaust system, so this car is only allowed to go on the circuit track.
