Nurdin Abdullah Arrested By The KPK, Bambang Pacul: PDIP Cadres Should Brake The Greed

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central Java Regional Representative Board of PDI Perjuangan (DPD PDIP), Bambang Wuryanto, has instructed party cadres, especially those who become regional heads to put a brake on greed related to efforts to prevent corruption.

"Remind yourself of greed and internalize the values of Pancasila, if it can 'match' I think corruption will be decreased," said Bambang Wuryanto, who is familiarly called Bambang Pacul after a series of PDIP 48th Anniversary events at the DPD PDIP Central Java office, Semarang, as reported by Antara, Sunday, February 28th.

According to the Head of the PDI-P Election Winning Division, the most important thing in preventing criminal acts of corruption is the development of human character.

A good character, he said, would understand that it is wrong to take someone else's rights and if he commits a criminal act of corruption it means taking people's rights.

"So if corruption takes away the rights of others, and in Pancasila, it is called as unfair thought, and the actions are less civilized," he said.

This was conveyed by Bambang Pacul in response to the arrest of South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officers on Friday, February 26.

"I do not suspect it, but as political people we sometimes have prejudice," he said.

According to Bambang, the means of bringing down other people can be through law enforcement.

"Sometimes you know, I don't say everything, but we all have to be upright with the law, and what can't be violated is written law and natural law," he said.
