Erick Thohir Explores Cooperation In The Development Of Health Facilities At The Sanur SEZ With Japan

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that his party is exploring cooperation with Japanese company Onodera Gorup related to the development of health facilities.

Erick also had the opportunity to invite investors from Ahead to tour the special economic zone (KEK) of Sanur, Bali.

"This morning I and the Directors of SOEs met with investors from Japan, Onodera Group. We are exploring cooperation in the development of health facilities in the Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Bali," Erick wrote as quoted from the official Instagram @erickthohir, Wednesday, February 28.

For your information, Onedera Group is a company centered in Japan and has five main business lines, namely food, education, health, sports and agribusiness.

Erick has ambitions to develop world-class health facilities through the Sanur SEZ. With this facility, it is hoped that it will increase revenue to the state treasury.

As for the Aviation and Tourism SOE Holding, InJourney is one of the state-owned companies that is developing the Sanur SEZ.

"InJourney has built a world-class integrated health facility that is integrated with tourism," he explained.

Erick also targets that there will be 30,000 new jobs open in line with this international standard health tourism.

"KEK Sanur is projected to open around 30,000 jobs for the people of Indonesia, especially Balinese people," he said.

For your information, SEZ Sanur is a strategic initiative to optimize the potential for the Grand Inna Bali Beach area of 41.6 Ha to become a World Class Wellness & Tourism Destination' as a World-class Integrated / International Integrated Health and New Tourism Service Center that has integrated facilities.

The facilities in question include accommodation facilities for 5-star hotels, Ethnomedicinal botanical Garden, International Standard Convention Center which can accommodate up to 5,000 people, Commercial Areas, MSME Centers, Restaurants, and various other facilities.

Various facilities will be obtained at the Sanur SEZ, such as facilities and the ease of licensing for foreign health workers, customs fiscal facilities for medical equipment, types of services and technology provided, the use of certified drugs, to the ease of immigration services for patients and patients' families.
