Hadi Tjahjanto Safari To Interfaith Leaders Ensures The Situation Is Conducive During The Election

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto held a safari to religious leaders, in order to create a conducive situation during the general election (election).

"I have made a visit to PBNU. Then this afternoon we visited the Indonesian Church Association (PGI) and now we are at the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI) and tonight I will go to Muhammadiyah," Hadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 28.

According to him, religious leaders have a very big influence on most people. This influence must be used to convey the message of peace during the election.

The followers of every religion, said Hadi, will definitely follow the peace message conveyed so that divisions in society during the election period can be avoided.

Hadi also appreciated the good response of every religious leader when he was met to discuss unity and integrity during the election.

He hopes that all religious leaders can unite to create a conducive situation until the president and vice president are legally elected.

"Religious leaders are all committed to maintaining the unity and integrity of this nation because we are a great nation," he said.

Previously, the Chairperson of PGI Gomar Gultom said that peace during the election can be created because of a conducive dialogue culture.

"There are more routine conversations between elements of the nation. Because there are many problems that we can face, they can be resolved through dialogue or conversation together," he said when met at the PGI office in the Salemba area, Central Jakarta.

According to Gomar, intense conversations between all parties can create good solutions to overcome a conflict.

Intensive conversations can also create a sense of tolerance between parties who have different views.

"Of course there are differences, but we can solve everything with determination and enthusiasm for our unity and integrity and security together," he said.

According to him, today's meeting with Hadi Tjahajanto was considered a good form of dialogue.

He hopes that efforts to prioritize dialogue can be implemented by all parties in order to create a safe and peaceful situation during the election period.
