DKI Bawaslu Processes 3 Reports Of Blocking And Inflating Of Votes For The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) processed three reports regarding alleged violations in the 2024 election vote recapitulation after voting day.

"Bawaslu DKI oversees the recapitulation process at the PPK level. During the recapitulation process, there were 3 reports submitted to the DKI Bawaslu," said the Coordinator of the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Violation Handling Division in his statement, Friday, February 23.

Benny explained that the report came from candidates for legislative members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Gerindra Party and Perindo. Both reported the shrinkage of votes in the Vote Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) belonging to the General Elections Commission (KPU).

Meanwhile, another report came from the National Legal Team (THN) of the DKI Jakarta Anies-Muhaimin National Team (AMIN) regarding the alleged inflated vote of the presidential election for presidential and vice presidential candidates number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Sirekap, in his acquisition in Jakarta.

Benny said that the DKI Bawaslu was still conducting initial studies on the three reports. Thus, the examination of related parties is scheduled later.

"Bawaslu DKI appealed to the public to report to Bawaslu if they found any alleged violations during the vote recapitulation process," said Benny.

"Bawaslu DKI is committed to being a bulwark for the sovereignty of the people in supervising the purity of the election vote. Thus, election justice can stand upright in accordance with the principles of the overflowing and jurdil elections," he added.

For information, the KPU has set a schedule for recapitulation of vote count results from February 15 to March 20, 2024. Then, the determination of the election results is carried out 3 days after the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding election disputes.
