On the other hand, during the work process of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT Project, this may have an impact on the temporary shift in vehicle lanes at several points for work area needs. Jakpro together with the implementing contractor for the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT project, apologized for the inconvenience caused, and appealed to road and public transportation users to always obey signs and follow the instructions of officers in the project field/area.
Jakpro and related stakeholders also continue to make efforts to socialize, educate and communicate intensively to residents and road users affected by the construction of the Jakarta Phase 1B LRT. The Jakarta Phase 1B LRT project is projected to last for 36 months, with the first target being that a limited trial can be conducted (trial run) to Rawamangun Station at the end of 2024. Later this Phase 1B will connect Velodrome Manggarai with a span of 6.4 kilometers with 5 stations, namely Rawamangun Station, BPKP Scouts, Pramuka Market, Matraman and Manggarai.
With the extension of the route and being integrated with other public transportation modes, such as Commuter Line, Microtrans, and Transjakarta Trains, passengers for the Jakarta LRT service from Pegangsaan Dua to Manggarai are projected to reach 80-100 thousand passengers per day. In addition to increasing inter-regional connectivity, the construction of the 1B Phase LRT has the potential to increase the competitiveness of Jakarta City as a global city as well as have other economic impacts, such as increasing the income of local residents in line with the increasing activity of the community around the station.
