Filming The Action Series, Dian Sastrowardoyo Out Of The Comfort Zone In The Real World
JAKARTA - Dian Sastrowardoyo became the main character in his latest series entitled Ratu Adil. The series directed by Tommy Demo and Ginanti Rona shows the story of a mother who Dian also feels in her daily life.
Dian explained that his role as Lasja made him leave his comfort zone both in acting and in the real world.
"This project seems like we are out of the comfort zone because I am known for the drama genre. From Sigi (Wimala) a story about the mafia world, then this is my own story as an actor out of the comfort zone," said Dian Sastrowardoyo at the Ratu Adil press conference in Jakarta today, Thursday, February 22.
"My opportunity is to direct or not to the crime genre with a lot of action and shooting at night. I see that various levels are a healthy exercise for women from story to collaboration with Sigi, Upi, Hana (MALAS), Gina and we are collaborating," said Dian.
Dian Sastrowardoyo was chosen as the main character by Timo Tjahjanto for a reason. He considered that Lasja's character could not be played carelessly by people.

I've worked with Dian in my film and I see that Lasja's character cannot be played by anyone. The characters Tommy and Ginan are also okay, so I just have to sit and see this cast rolling," said Timo Tjahjanto as the producer.
Leaving his comfort zone was also accompanied by the new challenges Dian felt during the shooting process. In addition to inversely proportional working hours, he also has to undergo action acting at unusual hours.
"Half of the morning, I was strangled by stuntman... It's safe. But yes, it's really fun for us to collaborate with professional stunts," said Dian.
Ratu Adil tells the story of Lasja (Dian Sastrowardoyo), a housewife whose life changes after dealing with a gang of 9 Dragons. On the other hand, Lasja also faces The happened, a group of children who are not considered for their purpose.
Ratu Adil series can be watched in Vidio starting February 29, 2024.
