Komeng's Wife Is Threatened With 7 Years In Prison For Helping 16 Tanah Abang Police Detainees Escape
JAKARTA RA, the wife of the suspect Syarifudin alias Komeng, played a role in the escape of 16 prisoners from the Tanah Abang Police. RA helped Komeng, her husband who was in the cell at that time. Although RA was not in custody, he smuggled a iron saw to use Komeng Cs to cut cell iron.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro explained that RA's role was to help the prisoners escape, by bringing a hacksaw to be used to cut iron in the police detention room.
"Rizki Amelia, this is the wife of Sarifudin (Komeng) who is known to have brought or tucked a saw while visiting the detainee. Then the saw was used to cut the trellis alternately," said Kombes Susatyo, Thursday, February 22.
For about 3 weeks, they took turns singing to cover the noise while cutting the iron.
"Rizki Amelia visited several times so that the saw could be put in. It was used by colleagues from the sarifudin cell. Because her husband, suspect Syarifudin (commeng)," he said.

Involved in the action of escaping prisoners, RA was charged with Article 223 Juncto 56 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 138 of the Narcotics Law. He faces up to seven years in prison for obstructing investigations by assisting the escape.
Previously, 16 prisoners from the Tanah Abang Metro Police escaped from prison on Monday morning, February 19. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said two prisoners from 16 people who escaped from prison cells were arrested.
"Currently, there are still 14 other detainees who escaped from the Tanah Abang Metro Police detention cell room," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Monday, February 19.
