Installment Wants To Be Completed, Ojol Driver Sad Because Capital Motorbike Searches For Nafkah Lost Stolen

JAKARTA - Two cases of motorcycle theft have continued to repeat in the past week. Residents of Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta admitted that they were restless. Fathan, one of the victims, admitted that his missing motorbike would soon be paid off.

The first incident occurred on Jalan Krekot and the second incident occurred on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta. The theft in the two areas was caught on camera Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).

In the CCTV footage, it can be seen that the perpetrator took advantage of the opportunity to take the automatic motorbike belonging to an online motorcycle taxi driver (Ojol). The perpetrator also had time to move the helmet of the motorbike he was aiming for to another motorcycle.

Based on the victim's confession, he realized his motorbike was missing after waking up at 05.00 WIB.

"I've often slept here to rest after 'ngalong' (staying) and indeed here is where I hang out (together)," he told reporters, Thursday, February 22.

Fathan said the motorbike used to transport passengers was parked not far from the location where he rested. Due to the loss of the motorbike, the victim plans to report the theft to the Sawah Besar Police.

"The credit motorbike, there are still installments of around 8 to 9 months, the total loss is around Rp. 17 million," he said.

Apart from Fathan, the victim of the theft of the next motorbike was identified as Ari Hidayat. According to Ari, the missing motorbike belongs to a member of the youth organization parked in front of the automatic RW office.

"There should have been two motorbikes parked in the Genio and Beat types. The missing motorbike was my Beat motorcycle. Then I saw it on the tape, it turned out that two people took my motorbike," he said.

Ari explained that the perpetrators were seen wearing helmets and masks. He has also reported a motorcycle theft case to the Sawah Besar Police, but there has been no follow-up from the police.
