Chinese Police Fugitive Arrested In Pantai Indah Kapuk Area
JAKARTA - A foreign national (WNA) with the initials LY from China was arrested by a Class I Immigration officer TPI North Jakarta. LY was arrested for being wanted by the Chinese police who had been living in Indonesia.
Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI North Jakarta, Qriz Pratama, said LY was arrested at his home in Concerto Housing, Pantai Indah Kapuk, Penjaringan, Tuesday, February 13, at 17.00 WIB.
"LY entered the DPO (wanted list) of the Chinese Police based on a letter issued by the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta No. 0429- 23 dated May 19, 2023 on suspicion of committing a criminal act of money fraud (economic crime) in China," said Qriz Pratama quoting Antara, Wednesday, February 21.
Qris said, the Intelligence and Enforcement Section of the North Jakarta Immigration Office together with the Directorate of Immigration Intelligence managed to secure LY at Concerto Housing, Pantai Indah Kapuk, Penjaringan.
"LY was cooperative but he claimed to be an Indonesian citizen (WNI) by showing his ID card under the name Adi Susanto," he said
Qriz said that based on the Immigration Information and Management System (SIMKIM), (LY) is a foreigner from China, born in court, November 28, 1981.

LY is a Chinese passport holder valid until March 10, 2020. (LY) is listed as a holder of a limited residence permit (ITAS) for foreign workers valid until November 30, 2013, with a sponsor of PT. Zhongying International Investment.
He emphasized that based on the immigration database, LY already lives in Indonesia, exceeding the time limit for residence permits and the passport in question has expired, so that the person concerned is not only overstay but has become an illegal stay.
According to him, LY has lived in Indonesia for approximately 11 years without a valid travel document or passport and residence permit and was still valid and an ID card with the name Adi Susanto was found.
Based on immigration rules, LY is suspected of violating Article 119 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 Year 2011 concerning Immigration, because it is located in Indonesian territory with no valid travel documents (passports) and valid visas.
"The Class I Immigration Office of TPI North Jakarta will provide immigration administrative measures in the form of deportation and deterrence as stipulated in articles 75 paragraph (1) and (3) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration," he said.
