KPU Admits Changes In Legislative Voice Due To Sirekap Data Synchronization

JAKARTA - A member of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Betty Epsilon Idroos admitted that there was a change in the vote acquisition data for legislative candidates (caleg) in the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap), due to data synchronization in the system.

"That's right, there is a correction made," said Betty when met at the KPU building, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 20.

He said the repair triggered a discrepancy in the conversion of data between the vote count C forms at the polling station and Sirekap, which changed the votes of legislative candidates to hundreds of thousands.

"So it is a process of improvement that runs at the PPK (district election committee) and district/city KPU levels. Currently, and at that time according to what is in C plano, it will then be broadcast in the 2024.kpu.go.id election," he said.

Betty added that the problem occurred in the display of vote achievement data at the 2024.kpu.go.id election site. However, in the last 2 days, PPK and district/city KPU have been repaired.

Currently, he said, the KPU has improved its numerical appearance in parallel. Calculation of the 2024 Legislative Election can also be improved by officials from the polling group (KPPS). "The 2024 Legislative Election counting can be corrected directly by the KPPS," he concluded.
