BYD Dolphin Will Be Released In February With A Longer Travel Distance And Cheaper Price
JAKARTA - BYD, an automotive company from China, will launch an update on its best-selling model, Dolphin. The model later called "Honor Edition" was launched on February 23.
Launching from Carnewschina, Tuesday, February 20, this hatchback-type car will have a larger battery size and entry-level type will be cheaper than the previous 2023 version.
For dimensions, this car maintains the same size as a length of 4,125 mm, a width of 1,770 mm, and a height of 1,570 mm, and a wheelbase that reaches 2,700 mm.
The update also includes the cabin with the addition of the latest type-C phone charging feature and a 50 Watt wireless charging pad. The front seat will also get ventilation features and add a privacy glass to the rear.

The previous version of this model has a 45 kWh LFP battery size that can cover a distance of 420 km according to the CLTC cycle. The model update for 2024 will add to the 60 kWh type capable of penetrating a distance of up to 520 km which will be suitable for the European and global markets.
Despite having a larger battery, BYD Dolphin will have the same electric motor as before with a 70 kW power and a peak torque of up to 180 Nm.
It is also stated that BYD Dolphin for 2024 will have a cheaper price when compared to today. As an illustration, the current model is priced at 104,800 yuan in China or equivalent to Rp227.9 million, while the Indonesian BYD market releases a Dolphin price of Rp425,000,000 for Premium Extended types at the IIMS 2024 event.
